Annual Pruning Demonstrations

Register now for our Annual Rose Pruning Workshop in January 2025. 

 

Rain or shine! Bring your sheers and gloves and join us for our Annual Pruning and Bareroot rose planting demonstration. This is our Society's most well-attended program of the year. There is no charge to attend but donations are encouraged.

Tool cleaning. Bring your pruners/clippers and gloves and we'll show you how to clean, sharpen, and care for your tools prior to heading out into the garden for pruning.

Hands on Workshop ~ Pruning Demonstration & Planting Bareroot Roses. The program begins inside the center (classroom format) for a 30-minute introduction to pruning and the basics of planting bareroot roses.  Then we'll head outside to the garden with our rosarians to put your learning to work and to give hands-on instruction. Bring gloves (warm and pruning), hat, sturdy boots/shoes, raingear, warm jacket. Coffee and refreshments will be served.
