2027 Theme and Guide/Rule Book will be available in early spring 2027. You can use the 2026 information as a reference for the various divisions and classes in the show.
ENTER OUR 2027 SHOW!
We're looking for volunteers to help throughout the day at our 60th Annual Rose Show with exhibitor entries, lunch service, and set up & breakdown of the event. Interested? Send us an email at hello@sonomaroses.org.

Tips for entering rose shows if you're a first-time/novice entrant:
-
Get ready for the 2027 show by downloading the 2026 Entry & Rule Guide to familiarize yourself with the Show requirements for each "division" and "class". The theme changes each year along with the Arrangement Class names, but general information applies each show.
-
Read the rule book carefully so that you are exhibiting in the correct category. You may be disqualified if you enter an incorrect variety, shape, or size in a given category.
-
The Show is open to all rose lovers/growers. You do not need to be a Rose Society Member and can enter from in or outside of Sonoma County.
-
REQUIRED: Bring your rose(s) with its name (e.g. 'Day Breaker') and variety (floribunda) so you can include it on the exhibit's informational card. The judges want as much information as possible about your rose.
-
On SHOW DAY: Arrive to entrant period early and go to the back patio (right of main building) to complete your entry forms. There is no online entry forms. Vases are provided for Horticultural entries but you must provide your own vase/vessel if entering any Rose Arrangement classes.
-
You will be able to take your roses/vases home AFTER the public viewing period is over at 4pm.
-
Refrain from asking fellow exhibitors questions during this time as most will be very busy with getting their entry set up. Instead, take mental/written notes and then ask questions after they are done so you can prepare your entry.
-
Volunteer to clerk for a show (no previous experience required) in order to learn how rose shows are set up and what the judges are looking for and how the judging process works.
